WHAT HAPPENED AFTER ONCE UPON A TIME?
Children in grades 3-6
6:30-7:30 pm
Location: First United Methodist Church, 505 W Main, Waxahachie (Main building)
Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30, September 10 through October 29
Teachers: Aryana Keithley & Ella Martin
*Children will create authentic believable characters while examining choices made on stage
* Students build creativity and confidence and gain a better understanding of character motivation, tactics, and beats while analyzing how a play’s them shapes each role.
*Using acting exercises, theater games, improvisation, storytelling, and scene work, students will learn the importance of remaining in character through dialogue, blocking, movement, and facial expressions.
The final showcase (October 29 at 7:00 pm) will employ all learned skills and perform with dynamic, consistent characterization which brings the story to life and engages the audience.
